Booking Confirmation & Deposit
To confirm a reservation, the Charterer must provide (a) a signed Reservation Confirmation and Charter Summary (when applicable), and (b) a deposit of no less than fifty percent (50%) of the total charter cost, unless otherwise specified in writing by Maison Neptune. All charter balances must be paid in full no later than fourteen (14) business days prior to the scheduled charter date. For any charter booked within fourteen (14) business days of the departure date, full payment is due at the time of booking. Depending on the vessel booked, this may vary.
No booking is considered confirmed—and Maison Neptune is under no obligation to hold a vessel or provide services—until both the deposit and executed Charter Agreement (and Charter Summary, if applicable) have been received and accepted in writing by Maison Neptune.
In the event that a conflicting charter request is received prior to your confirmation, and a competing client submits a complete agreement and deposit, you may be granted a 24-hour right of first refusal. If confirmation is not received within that timeframe, the vessel will be released on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cancellation Policy
Due to the nature of vessel chartering—wherein resources are removed from the market and operational preparations begin upon booking—all cancellations are subject to the following terms:
a) Cancellation 120 Days or More Before Charter Date
If written notice of cancellation is received 120 days or more prior to the scheduled charter date, Maison Neptune will refund fifty percent (50%) of the Charterer’s deposit, less a 7.5% administrative service charge.
b) Cancellation Between 11 and 119 Days Before Charter Date
If written notice of cancellation is received less than 120 days, but more than 10 days before the scheduled charter date, all funds paid to date will be forfeited. The Charter Agreement shall be deemed repudiated by the Charterer, and Maison Neptune shall have no further obligations.
c) Cancellation Within 10 Days of Charter Date
If cancellation occurs within 10 days of the scheduled charter date, the Charterer remains liable for the full charter amount, as stated in the most recent Reservation Confirmation or Charter Summary.
d) Entertainment & Special Services Cancellation
In the event that the Charterer cancels any entertainment, catering, or special services within thirty (30) days of the scheduled charter date, a cancellation fee of no less than fifty percent (50%) of the total cost of such services shall apply, regardless of the vessel cancellation status. The Charterer further acknowledges and agrees that certain third-party vendors may have stricter refund or forfeiture policies, and as such, the Charterer shall remain fully responsible for any non-refundable amounts imposed by those providers.
e) Last-Minute Deposits
All deposits made within twenty-four (24) hours of the charter departure time are strictly non-refundable.
Refund Policy
Except as explicitly stated herein, all deposits and charter payments are non-refundable once a Charter Agreement has been executed. Charterers are encouraged to review all details carefully prior to confirmation.
In the event no contract has been executed, and a booking is made solely via an online platform with no signed agreement, the Charterer may cancel at any time prior to confirmation.
No refunds will be issued for dissatisfaction with services delivered by independent contractors (including chefs, caterers, or entertainers), as such services are inherently subjective and outside the direct control of Maison Neptune.
Service Disruption & Credit Policy
No refunds shall be issued for malfunctions of complimentary onboard amenities including, but not limited to: lavatories, electronics, entertainment systems, audio/visual inputs, or Wi-Fi access.
In rare and exceptional cases where a material disruption significantly impairs the core charter experience, Maison Neptune will review the circumstances internally and determine, in its sole discretion, whether any adjustment is warranted. The Company does not guarantee refunds, credits, or alternative compensation under such circumstances, and no adjustment shall be made for disruptions arising from complimentary amenities, weather conditions, or third-party services. Any resolution offered shall be final and extended purely as a courtesy, without admission of liability.
Maison Neptune is not responsible for items left aboard any vessel.
Performance & Mechanical Failure
While Maison Neptune endeavors to provide uninterrupted and exceptional service, certain operational risks may arise that are beyond the Company’s reasonable control. In the event of a mechanical failure or other unforeseen issue affecting the selected vessel prior to or during the charter, Maison Neptune will, in good faith and at its sole discretion, either (a) repair the issue promptly, (b) provide a substitute vessel of comparable or greater capacity, or (c) offer a future charter of similar value at no additional cost to the Charterer. In circumstances where a mechanical malfunction results in a premature termination of the charter, Maison Neptune has historically provided complimentary future charters as a gesture of goodwill; however, such accommodations remain discretionary and are not contractually guaranteed.
Captain’s Authority and Navigational Control:
The Captain assigned to the vessel retains full and exclusive authority over all aspects of vessel operation, including but not limited to navigation, routing, safety decisions, and the right to alter, delay, or cancel the voyage in whole or in part. This authority extends to, but is not limited to, circumstances arising from weather conditions, maritime hazards, mechanical or technical issues, governmental regulations, strikes, accidents, or any situation the Captain deems unsafe for the vessel, crew, or guests.
In the event that the charter cannot proceed due to one or more of the foregoing circumstances, and the vessel is unable to depart but remains dockside and accessible, Maison Neptune will offer either a rescheduled charter date or an alternative vessel of comparable or greater guest capacity. Modifications to the departure location or time may also be made if reasonably necessary to fulfill the charter.
If no such rescheduling or substitution is feasible, Maison Neptune may, in rare circumstances and solely at its discretion, consider issuing a partial or full refund of charter fees or deposits already paid. However, the Charterer acknowledges and agrees that refunds are not guaranteed under any circumstances and shall not be expected as a matter of course. Any refund provided shall be considered a one-time courtesy and shall not constitute an admission of liability or a waiver of the Company’s contractual rights
